20 Percent More Range for the 2024 Jaguar F-Pace PHEV

The PHEV Jaguar F-Pace is a vehicle currently unavailable in Canada, and it's unfortunate because this version could have a lot of success here. Despite the fact that it's not offered here, we can still appreciate the upgrades the British SUV received for 2024, which led to a 20 % more electric range.
This may not sound like a lot, but the 2024 Jaguar F-Pace PHEV will offer a range of 40 miles or 65 kilometres on electric power only. This is more than the average PHEV, and therefore, it matters. Jaguar engineers could accomplish this by fitting a larger 19.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack to the F-Pace.
The 2024 Jaguar F-Pace PHEV is compatible with 35 kw DC charging, which means it can get up to 80 percent charge in less than half an hour. Getting a full charge on a 7 kw AC charger takes only two and a half hours, which isn't bad either.
Efficient and Powerful
Jaguar is one of those brands that uses electricity to make their cars better and faster. The 2024 F-Pace PHEV is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 L four-cylinder combined with an electric powertrain for a total combined power of 399 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque. The 2024 Jaguar F-Pace PHEV can reach 100 km/h in less than 5.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 240 km/h, which is pretty fast for a vehicle this size.
What is the WLTP?
Most car manufacturers use the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) worldwide to calculate the average range of an electrified vehicle. However, this isn't our method here in North America. What we referred to here are the EPA or Transport Canada results, and they are usually lower numbers than what you can get with the WLTP method. However, this would mean the 2024 Jaguar F-Pace PHEV would still have an average EV range between 50 and 60 kilometres here, which is still better than most PHEV vehicles can offer today.
A future in Canada?
Jaguar is part of the Land Rover family, and the British manufacturer started to offer PHEV models here in Canada. Currently, the only electrified vehicle in Jaguar's lineup in Canada is the I-Pace, a full EV. The funny thing is, Jaguar talks about EV, PHEV, and HEV models on its Canadian website. This may be a sign that some of those models are coming to Canada sooner than we can hope for. Bringing more electrified vehicles to Canada could be a game-changer for Jaguar.
